Meet us in the mountains
High in the Sierra Nevada, Silver Lake sits beneath granite peaks and pine-covered slopes, with Thunder Mountain standing guard.
Kit Carson Lodge has been tucked along its shore for a century, its rustic cabins scattered among the trees and the water just steps away.
This stretch of shoreline already means a lot to us. During a camping weekend next door, we wandered down to the lake and got engaged here. Coming back to celebrate our wedding in the same place feels like completing the circle.
For the weekend, the entire camp is ours.
Think of it as our own little village. Wake up in your cabin, walk your coffee down to the beach, take out a kayak, explore the trails, or find us around the lodge. We’ll “opt outside” as much as possible, sharing meals under the trees and ending nights around the fire. And when it’s time for the ceremony, simply walk through the pines to join us.
It’s wild, beautiful, and unpretentious — the perfect place to gather the people we love, and settle in for a weekend together.
